Karsten W. Rohrbach, I agree with you in the QT point. All the applications i have that use QT libraries fail to manage transparency after a while, and the problem corrects itself (for another while... :P) when you refresh the notification area (ex: adding an application that uses notification area). I'm not pretty sure about the point of the nvidia drivers... different installations, different ways of installing the nvidia driver, different versions... they all fail after a while. Any ideas... ¿?... I don't know much of QT... Addendum: Intrepid with all updates as of last week: It still happens from time to time. I can't recognize a pattern, though. This seems to happen wlth any icons in the notification area. I'm using opera, notecase, and skype. It's as if though the icons start to overlap over time. Oops, clicked submit too fast. Clicking on an icon, forcing the notifcation area to refresh. I can second that (hardy/x86_64 as of 2008-05-08). The corruption takes place after a certain amount of time.
