This just bit me today. Was trying to fix citirix workspaces in general,
which was working yesterday, but occasionally just stops doing anything
when launching from the dash - no errors, nothing, and needs a reinstall
to magically fix. Today the reinstall didn't fix it, so I tried
reinstalling
In the release notes of citrix workspace app:
"We recommend not to install Citrix Workspace app with app protection enabled
on operating systems that use glibc 2.34 or later."
with ldd --version you can check your glibc version. I checked it afterwards an
it is indeed 2.34-0ubuntu3

Quick fix is to mount the filesystem in a live environment and delete
the file /usr/local/lib/AppProtection/libAppProtection.so. Then your
system can run again and you can clean things up.
