Public bug reported: Expected behaviour Upon reaching specified amount of time of no activity, screen-saver engages
Actual behaviour: Screensaver crashes with segFault. Black screen results, system cannot enter or exit sleep. Steps to reproduce the behaviour: allow the screensaver timeout to elapse. Screensaver should turn on. Instead it gives black-screen and prevents sleep from starting MATE general version 1.26 Package version: Starting with 1.26.0-0ubuntu / previous packages were ok Linux Distribution: Ubuntu Mate 21.10 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 21.10 Package: mate-screensaver 1.26.0-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.13.0-20.20-generic 5.13.14 Uname: Linux 5.13.0-20-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu70 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: unknown CurrentDesktop: MATE Date: Wed Oct 20 13:10:14 2021 InstallationDate: Installed on 2021-02-05 (256 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-MATE 20.10 "Groovy Gorilla" - Release amd64 (20201022) SourcePackage: mate-screensaver UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to impish on 2021-10-15 (5 days ago) ** Affects: mate-screensaver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug impish third-party-packages ** Bug watch added: github.com/mate-desktop/mate-screensaver/issues #255 https://github.com/mate-desktop/mate-screensaver/issues/255 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1947905 Title: mate-screensaver SegFault when it autostarts.
