Additional information/research: In the "manage bookmarks" window, it appears to work fine to move the items to the positions i want them to be. Most of the time this works as expected, but sometimes they dont land exactly where I placed them (as indicated by the line that appears as soon as they are in dragging mode). Also, while trying that and sorting bookmarks in multiple folders, I experienced crashes of firefox.
