I've got an Asus A6M laptop, on which I've tried to install 8.04.1 (2.6.24-19
!!!) from the netboot image I found here [1].

And I couldn't see my hdd detected.

I don't have a cd-rom, so i'm not able to test normal/alternate cd-
releases. It needs to be done via pxe.

2.6.24-11. From your comments I'm assuming this is not an issue if you
use the alternate installer? Also curious what happens if you eliminate
the netboot in step 2? Thanks.
