This bug was fixed in the package ubiquity - 22.04.9 --- ubiquity (22.04.9) jammy; urgency=medium * There was one fix too many in the previous changes to the Kubuntu frontend which resulted in the Timezone map not displaying which then caused the installation process to hang. My version was downloaded Saturday, March 26, 2022 5 AM UTC and it fails with encrypted/unencrypted partitions of various types, including XFS, btrfs, swap. A comment on useability: Currently all the status output of the disk manipulation attempts is filtered into a single line on the bottom of the user interface. While more visually appealing when successful, in cases of problems like this the user has no information to diagnose the problem. Users have wasted hours trying different permutations before realizing it is not their fault. Same problem for me with the iso downloaded 26 March 2022 from the http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/daily-live/current/jammy-desktop- amd64.iso site using zsync and a previously downloaded iso version as input file. It gets to 33% installed and freezes at that point going no further however long I leave it.
