I can actually confirm this. Something recent has broken open link in browser (in xchat) and similar. The 5-a-day bug applet doesn't respond to Open Wiki page or Open Stats either (both would involve opening the browser) The only way to open a web link is to copy from the application and paste

I have been seeing the same problem since I upgraded to 8.04. I can see that the preferred application was set to 'Custom'. I don't know why that would be as this is a fresh install using my old gutsy /home partition. Now I've set it to 'Ubuntu Sensible Browser' and it's working with Firefox as
