Last Sunday on 2008-08-21, I performed an upgrade to 8.10 alpha6 on my newest workstation (I think a lot of bugs are hardware related and the older machines are running fine). So after booting a couple of times, I didn't notice any failure of the Realtec 8111C chips and I hope it will stay that
