[Bug 208197] Re: .desktop file missing x-content/audio-player mime type
OK, about that playlist being pupulated. the original amarok.desktop file uses Exec=amarok %U Which will populate the playlist I created a new amarok-player.desktop and gave it the proper mime type. It showed up in Nautilus and I selected it. I used Exec=amarok and still the playlist got populated man amarok does not give much info about arguments. -- could be considered as a flag signifying the end of the options, but does not work. I ended up using Exec=amarok --blah this makes amarok start with whatever default argument passed to the blah option. As this option does not exist, nothing happens. amarok starts and no playlist gets loaded from the media device. If that can help... -- .desktop file missing x-content/audio-player mime type https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/208197 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is subscribed to amarok in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 208197] Re: .desktop file missing x-content/audio-player mime type
hmm. what ? Bug closed ? because of the question has been answered... by opening the bug... I understand that the release is soon, and that closed bugs look good, but, this is a bit hard to swallow. I open a bug, I reference another person having the issue, I propose a solution, and it is closed with no other action? The problem is still there, iPods cannot be used directly with Amarok by using the standard was and the GUI. The solution exists withing a .desktop file. Thanks for looking at this again. ** Changed in: amarok (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = New -- .desktop file missing x-content/audio-player mime type https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/208197 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is subscribed to amarok in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 208197] Re: .desktop file missing x-content/audio-player mime type
I would like to confirm that I am having the same problem, and unlike Nico, changing the amarok.desktop file entry did not resolve the issue for me. I still get the playlist populating when I connect an ipod. It takes 5-10 minutes to load the playlist causing amarok to lock up for the first 30 seconds or so of this. -- .desktop file missing x-content/audio-player mime type https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/208197 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
