FWIW, I can't input Japanese (or Chinese) in flash. I try this on my ubuntu 8.04 x86_64 ,Teej the default package of nonfree-flash and scim or scim-bridge can reproduce the resault. Problem solve after i install flash player 64bit alpha edition from Adobe. Is it the very prolem that scim deb package didn't provide 32 bit support in 64bit system? Can you give me some hint? I just reported in bug 304683 that I cannot enter any text in flash forms at all. I'll try and see if installing scim-bridge solves the problem. I finally find out the problem origin. and find out a way to solve this problem. We all use 64 bit system, but we use a 32 bit flash and extension but 32 bit flash can't use or find scim in 64bit system or 64bit SCIM. When i change the flash player to 64 bit edition from Adobe recently. This problem solves. 1. I suggest scim deb package should provide 32 bit support in 64bit system. 2. I can use it on my Hardy system. But I use a clean install, which enables scim-bridge as default IM module.
