As this bug has been there for a long time without activity and for some reason it doesn't show the auto countdown to invalidation after 60 days of beig in Incomplete status, I'm manually setting it to invalid. Please feel free to re-open it once the bug found in a currently supported release of Ubuntu or the upstream pkg. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Invalid ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/221691 Title: Problems with Nautilus / X-server To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/221691/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect bug # and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue. ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Incomplete ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/221691 Title: Problems with Nautilus / X-server To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/221691/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Today the icons under Nautilus was / is not responsive, but mouse can be used to click on links in status bar, menu and links in Firefox. Have to select an area in Nautilus to select icon. At one time this selected area was not removed. This area is moving up and down when I changed directory to cd-dvd creator because of the write to disc button- area. Re: [Bug 221691] Re: Problems with Nautilus / X-server
On Sat, 2008-05-10 at 20:55 +, Sebastien Bacher wrote: could you describe easy step to trigger the issue? It's kinda hard to for me to describe in easy steps how to trigger the issue. But this is the state of my desktop at the moment: 1) I log in and the desktop comes up with standard icons. 2) I check to see if things have become better by clicking around on the desktop. Sometimes things work, sometimes they don't. When they don't I get selected areas where I have selected the desktop. 3) Sometimes I can't choose the icons, menus or anything. When that happens I right click and I get the pop up menu. Then things are back to normal. 4) This also affects the fact that when moving windows they go into maximize state first before they are moved. This is what happens: 4a) Grabbing the title bar by left clicking it. 4b) While holding the title bar I move the mouse pointer. 4c) The window maximizes. 4d) The window goes back to same size as it had before it became maximized 4e) The window is moved / moving. 5) Today I can sense that the mouse is to picky. It thinks I am double clicking everything... So for me this seems like has something to do with a) Nautilus or b) X and some configuration settings related to latest versino of X.
