Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nvidia-glx-legacy
Ubuntu 8.04, i386 nvidia-glx-legacy lspci: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV5 [RIVA TNT2/TNT2 Pro] (rev 15) Login screen is in wrong resolution, login dialogue is in right low corner, menu in left low corner is not visible (out of visible screen). I guess that screen is configured at 800x600 but login "desktop" is configured for something like 1024x768 or even more. When I login in, resolution is changed to 1024x768 and everything is OK. The only problem is with graphical login dialogue. I use Ubuntu default login. When I change driver to SVGA (??), login dialogue is OK (but I don't have acceleration, etc) It worked fine in 7.10, it is broken after upgraded to 8.04. ** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Login screen has wrong resolution https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222444 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
