[Bug 225625] Re: black winodw
I've got the same problem. After login everything is ok, but after opening/closing windows (let's say after one or two hour), I have to restart compiz because every new window is black. So how to reproduce the symptom: fire up a lot of windows (for me ~700 xlogo) for ((i=0;i700;i++)) do xlogo done killall xlogo Here are some additional informations: sudo lspci -v -s 01:00.0 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV34 [GeForce FX 5200] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: LeadTek Research Inc. I edited the /usr/bin/compiz file, line with COMPIZ_OPTIONS to be this: COMPIZ_OPTIONS=--ignore-desktop-hints --indirect-rendering --replace and I stopped getting black windows. Good luck, everyone. ** Attachment added: X.org config file http://launchpadlibrarian.net/15726540/xorg.conf -- black winodw https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/225625 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 225625] Re: black winodw
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read How to report bugs effectively http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems. http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures At a minimum, we need: 1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem, 2. the behavior you expected, and 3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). Thanks! ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low Status: New = Incomplete -- black winodw https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/225625 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
