@Martin: No, I've looked at the kern.log(s) and this only occurred following the update and the reboot. The SCSI is functioning (it does connect to the scanner properly - the scanner is now no longer scanning properly, but thats most likely another issue). ps aux|grep 1583: $ ps aux|grep 1583
