I also have this problem. I installed Timidity in synaptic, then I got
this error. Now every time I try to install ANYTHING in synaptic, it

This does not seem to be a exult problem. Exult depends on timidity, and
because timidity was not properly installed, it does not install. I
therefore assign this report to timidity.
