I am also unable to drag music files from Nautilus to Rhythmbox iPod
panel. I have to add these files to my library first, then drag them
over to the iPod section in Rhythmbox. I have also tested dragging from
Rox into Rhythmbox's iPod panel and that does not work either.

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut
should be a small usability issue , in the default Ubuntu 9.10 install ,
that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't
be addressed as part of the project.

thanks for your report, that works fine for me, I'm able to drag a file
from my music folder on nautilus to the nautilus device, are you using
nautilus in icon view or list view? to which place exactly inside
rhythmbox are you dragging the file? thanks.

I am sorry if my report has not been precise enough.
I have tried with both list and icon view in my nautilus window : the
behaviour is the same.
I drag a file from a Nautilus window and drop it on the bar having the
name of my Ipod in the section Devices of the Side Pane. If I try to
