Thank you very much for your bug report.
Gnomesword is no longer developed. It has been renamed into Xiphos see
xiphos.org
I believe this issue is fixed in the new upstream release, I cannot
reproduce it with Xiphos 3.0.
It is Ubuntu policy not to introduce new packages into old releases.
