Public bug reported: I have posted a thread about random freezing of Hardy here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=832383 >From what I read in the subsequent posts that it seems to happen on Dell >hardware.
I have searched existing bugs, but although several bugs are reported on random freezes none seem to be related. The closest -- IMHO -- is this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/234093 However that is focussed on an Intel graphics card, while I have a nVidia card in my laptop. Find below the result of: lspci | grep -i vga 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation G72M [Quadro NVS 110M/GeForce Go 7300] (rev a1) Any advice on how to investigate the cause of this issue would be highly appreciated. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Hardy freezing randomly (Dell issue??) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/244429 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
