Public bug reported:

Hibernate or sleep, Xorg will shut down leaving the blinking underline
cursor, the machine is totally hung, must hold the power button to
shutdown.  I've set the close-lid to ignore the event, so the machine
stays on and doesn't trash my session ;) but on low battery it locks up
losing the session.

I thought of using those paddles they use on the medical TV shows.
"CLEAR!" and ZAP -- but then thought no, maybe I should just file a bug
report and let the experts handle it :)
