There was a bug whereby the dbus announcement for the return of the
network device was not being sent due to a bug in the dbus send
commands. A work around for that was put in place and so we may well
expect this to work more reliably. Could those affected test and
confirm with the latest
Tested both hibernate and sleepmode several times. Both works! Great
work! Thank you! (Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty)

After latest updates the bug happens every time and no X restarting
seems to solve the issue.

Same issue happens sometimes in Hardy Heron x86_64 with the kernel 2.6.24-22 in
my Acer Aspire 5920. I have seen many bugs with similar issue:
- #306611 marked as triaged,
- #88327 marked as new,
- #40125 marked as fix released,
- #25614 marked as confirmed
I think they should be triaged
This have nothing to do with the error above. But I add it if it helps
to solve the issue. The fan on my nvidia GL 7600 card usually slows down
the X is started. But this happens not when I hibernate. Have to restart
X and login again to solve that issue.

Why not restart networking service every time Ubuntu start from

Hello, I recently realized that while in Ubuntu, my CPU fan will stop for
several minutes.
I see through the case how the blades receive little pulses and moves a bit but
it doesn't spin!
After a while it turns on again
I don't experience this while in Windows for 2 or 3 hours
Wondering if this
