Public bug reported: OS: Kubuntu 8.04.1, KDE3.5.9
I was used in Kubuntu 6.10 to put the flash disk into PC, open it's content in new window (konqueror has been used for that), and type into navigation bar the start of name I was looking for (as I have like 200-300 files in one of the folders, and I always know exact name of file I want to open this time). With 8.04.1 the flash disk content is opened in Dolphin. Dolphin by default does not show navigation bar at all, just some fancy useless graphics thingy, so I did switch the editable bar in options. Now I can type the file name, but no options from current directory are shown. When I run konqueror as file manager, it works as expected, so I will "fix" this problem by setting konqueror instead of Dolphin. (and I know the Dolphin for KDE3 is sort of experimental stuff without future and development, but then I wonder why it was ever included as default file manager for KDE3 users) I think this is probably more "Wish", than "bug", although from my point of view this is regression. ** Affects: dolphin (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: dolphin (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: None => dolphin -- Typing part of file name into editable navigation bar does not give list of pontetional candidates (like in konqueror) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254899 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
