Public bug reported: Binary package hint: hotkey-setup
$ sudo dmidecode -s system-manufacturer && sudo dmidecode -s system- product-name && sudo dmidecode -s system-version Intel Corporation Crestline & ICH8M Chipset Not Applicable Most functions keys worked out of the box, except for anything related to the volume. I changed those manually in the Shortcuts menu, to XF86AudioMute etc. Now they work and show a little popup box with the volume level. Brightness hotkeys work, but display no visual confirmation. I know the correct ones are X86MonBrightnessUp/Down, but you can't set them in the Shortcuts menu. Other than that, some functions keys work (like disabling WLAN, turning screen off, ...) but xev doesn't capture any keycodes for them. I suppose those are handled by my KBC BIOS? ** Affects: hotkey-setup (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Certain hotkeys give no visual confirmation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/256406 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
