I haven't been able to find a boot log, unfortunately. If I watch the boot sequence on vt8, it hangs on setting the system clock. And it's a complete hang - Ctrl-Alt-Del does not work, nor Alt-F1 etc. My system is a Core Duo Dell XP M1710 laptop, latest nvidia-177 drivers (envyng), iwl3945 wireless. I have had no such boot issues before, and the -1 kernel works fine. The boot hangs regardless of wireless state, but only sometimes (about 50%). For me, it only sometimes shows the setting system clock item... And sometimes halts immediately after the ipw3945 output. I get this error too on 2.6.27-4, and it gets worse. Today I had to make 6 hard boot attempts before I could log in. Are there any news about a solution?
