Hi Tormod,
Thanks for your help. The package from your archive worked fine. I was
talking about the xserver-xorg-ati driver.
I wanted to try the radeonhd driver to see if it would have less tearing
during video playback and solve my dual screen issues, but it didn't,
so you are right in that

Thanks for your report. The radeonhd driver in Intrepid is quite old.
Can you please try the package from my PPA,
https://launchpad.net/~tormodvolden/+archive ? If itworks, it would be
an argument for a Feature Freeze Exception to get something less
outdated in Intrepid.
