http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/ChangeLog Version 2.5.1 brings lots of bugfixes to the version 2.5.0 already in hardy backports, in particular it may solve #266985: * libpurple o In the Join/Part plugin, add the ability to apply the rules to buddies.
