I have ubuntu 8.10 64bit installed, and since menu was installed together with
kvpnc I get the above mentioned problem with all package-operations.
How to resolve this?

10GB of my HDD for Ubuntu...and tried to reinstall everything) I also
quite often get an error-report, that says, I schould obly open synaptic
OR another pack- manager...but i only have synaptic...
