I had the same issue when I tried retrieving prices in Intrepid with the standard gnucash package. Manually updating finance quote fixed the problem for me. Zack's fix seems to have worked for me, too. I had to reboot, and then is seemed fine. I tried changing /usr/share/perl5/Finance/Quote/Yahoo/Base.pm, and that got things working on the command line. But Gnucash still fails.
