Alan, please also attach your output from `lspci -vvnn`. The PCI info
was not included in your Xorg.0.log but we'll need that in order to
forward this bug upstream.
@Christoph, your chipset is extremely different from Alan's (855 vs.

@Mark, it looks from your lspci info that you have a SiS video chip. So
if you're seeing a similar issue, it's entirely coincidental. Please
report your problem as a new bug, and be sure to include both the lspci
log you posted here, and your /var/log/Xorg.0.log. Also, photos of the
screen

Same issue here - display is fine during boot, but once in X everything
goes strangely psychedelic (see screenshot - believe me the wallpaper
should not really be that colour!)

I can confirm this issue
$ uname -a

$ lspci | grep VGA

As soon as the Xserver starts the screen gets corrupted.
