The thing is that I only really need this plugin to control my laptop
multimedia keys - and given the Ubuntu
contributor states the bug would not appear in dapper anymore. repoen if
necessary

Does this problem persist on Ubuntu Dapper 6.06?
Apparently not, I was using the plugins in hoary when they quit working
in Breezy but when I upgraded to Dapper, they worked fine again. Unless
someone else has experienced this problem in Dapper, its somehow been
fixed.
