This looks like it wasn't a bug within sensors-applet, but something
wrong with your system. This bug report is being closed due to your last
comment regarding this being fixed with a reinstall. For future
reference you can manage the status of your own bugs by clicking on the

As I found later, not only icons in sensors-applet disappeared, but also
icons in several other applications, such as rhythmbox, synaptic,
backlight brightness control. The problem has gone away with the hidden
folders in my home directory, most of those were removed after
reinstallation of the
