well I also solved this, if the session type is that xclient script it didnt work, but by selecting GNOME or KDE directly it works very fine ! Maybe that Xclient script thingy is a leftover from earlier versions, so sorry -- Black screen, only mouse visible

I can confirm this on my laptop, I can login my normal account, but when I try to use the guest login or the one of a friend of mine I can only see the mouse curser on a black screen. Im using fglrx instead of the radeon one but I think this doesnt matter for this issue. greets -- Black
