I have the same problems: can't create new calendar, events or tasks, all buttons are disabled. I tried to intstall libstdc++5 and create a new profile, problems aren't solved. I have the same issue : intrepid up to date with the thunderbird shipped with intrepid and lightning 0.9 from mozilla addons website . I can not create new calendar : the option is disabled .
