Hi! I confirm this bug. I use Hardy Heron amd64 version on my laptop and
after a fresh install I updated the system and ended up with a broken
WiFi connection. I could see the hotspot but I was constantly asked for
the shared key. I tried using an external WiFi dongle and that worked.

Ok, i solved it with blacklisting the r8187 module. Which is starting
instead of rtl8187. When i did that the rtl8187 module loads without
problem.
