Don - given that this bug has not had an effective update since November 2008, and given that your symptoms are different, you almost certainly have a different bug. Therefore you should report a new bug. However first please test with Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat. If you don't want to install it you can test using the Live CD. I can print the file attached to comment #11 without problems with Ubuntu 10.10 on my Canon i965 (using the BJC 8200 Foomatic driver). I'm having a problem similar to the description of this bug. When I attempt to print a PDF file from Evince Document Viewer 2.30.0, the job stays in the cups queue indefinitely without printing. If the PDF print job from Evince is cancelled, other jobs in the queue will print with no apparent problem. The attached document is an example; it fails to print from Document Viewer but will print without delay from gimp.
