The problem occurs with themes that set different colours for foreground
and text. Most themes set foreground and text the same and background
and base the same. DarkRoom sets different colours for each of them.
The foreground colour contrasts with the background and text contrasts
with base.
This is most likely a theme issue, as I cannot reproduce this with other
dark themes (Darkilouche, Darklooks, High Contrast Inverse), however
I've filed a bug upstream
(http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=558656) to see if anything
can be done about it.
