Well... I tried upgrading also using the alternate cd, and it would
start first from the cd rom, and later go back to fetch files from the
Internet, even though i choose not to update during upgrade. My Internet
connection is slow and it normally report it is going to take up to
6hours to download

I have tried to upgrade two machines from 8.04 to 8.10 using the
alternative CD and cdromupgrade. At the start of this process you are
asked whether to download the latest version from the net.
1.On Machine 1 I answered
