[Intrepid] No sound after resuming from
Sorry I haven't had a chance to look at this report. Would you be able
to download and test this with the live CD of Lucid 10.04 beta 1 please?
If this is still a problem there, you should have no problem running the
apport-collect 296115 command from there to gather the information.
Thank you.
Ok so the bug happened on Intrepid. I wiped a system and installed
Jaunty... never had that problem. Few weeks ago I wiped the system
(looks like I had to wipe, otherwise heisenbugs show up in Ubuntu) and
installe Karmic.
Everything worked fine, I was just applying updates, and suddenly I
noticed
Did it work correctly? Looks like it had some errors...

Hi guys, can you confirm if this is still a problem in Karmic 9.10
please? If so, can you please execute both of the following commands, as
it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect -p acpi-support 296115
apport-collect -p alsa-driver 296115
This will help
I'm unable to continue providing information for this bug, because I
lost sound completely. Either due to some update, or due to some minor
change to configuration. I'm planning to file another bug report, since
I believe the issue I'm having now is unrelated.

Looks like right now I don't have sound at all, no matter how many times I
reboot (it most likely is due to recent upgrade I know that at least pulse
audio was updated).
It is probably a different bug, but now I'm unable to provide feedback if
something would move forward in this bug...

Ok, this is weird...
I freshly started Linux, and sound doesn't seem to be working from the
start. I'm attaching kern.log

Is there some kind of temporary workaround to restart the sound without
restarting the whole system?
