The bug I ran into in EOG's 'Save As' dialog was very similar to this one. I tried to save an image opened from a web page viewed in epiphany with the only available option 'Save As' . The file I viewed was called fj54oyj45.tmp, trying to save it to a name without file extension proved impossible.
