With latest Lucid beta 1, message appears.
Apparently, module is loaded despite warning on failure to open
connection to session manager, as I receive a message that it cannot be

I've found that lot of lines are commented into :
- /etc/pulse/client.conf
- /etc/pulse/default.pa
maybe some others config files hidden somewhere too.
i've run several times dpkg-reconfigure pulseaudio but that command
seems to forget a lot about settings.

Same issue here with Jaunty since quite a while now. I had once a really
nice volume applet (not the Gnome one but similar to pavucontrol) and I
guess it was from module-x11-xsmp (but I may be wrong). However, this
module tries to start in the session (see /etc/xdg/autostart/pulseaudio-
