[Bug 300782] Re: Cannot route through secondary connections

2009-04-12 Thread aesis05401
From reading the above I believe this report can safely be expired. If
not, then:

This report covers three different issues - the failed installation of
an OS, an interface issue, and the networking issue.

I am marking this report 'Invalid,' for the time being. This does not
mean the reported issues are not happening, but that this report cannot
be addressed in current form.

For best results please focus on one issue per report.

Thanks.

[Bug 300782] Re: Cannot route through secondary connections

2008-11-26 Thread patryk
** Description changed:

+ Edit: I was being stupid. Forgot the hamachi go-online command. It works
+ now for the VPN. I haven't tested if disconnecting eth0 makes it switch
+ to ath0 automatically yet.
+
+
+
I installed Ubuntu Hardy through the NetBoot installer on an Acer
AspireOne 150L. Only the base packages would install, so I had to
  install ubuntu-desktop using apt-get.

I was never able to use my wireless connection if I disconnected the
ethernet one (both going through the same router), unless I ran 'sudo
ifconfig eth0 down'. I upgraded to Intrepid hoping the problem would
  resolve itself, to no avail.

My wireless card is currently not connecting to the network, and the nm-
applet is not running, so I can't use it to troubleshoot, but I am
having the exact same symptoms using Hamachi VPN.

The internet works, but I can only access one connection at a time.

I have an IP address for my Hamachi connection, can list hosts, but
cannot ping or access them. However, I can access them fine using my
Windows 2003 server, also part of the same VPN.

Here is some info (only what is relevant)

  ~$ ifconfig

Now using wireless.
