I am getting a error upon first boot of newly install 8.1.0 server. the
panel encountered a problem while loading OAF11D:gnome_fast user swither
applet.
I am not using KDM so I do not see it as a duplicate

This is the command to get back to GDM :
sudo dpkg-reconfigure gdm

Right, it seems that fast-user-switch-applet is not designed to work
with KDM. This has already been reported and is a duplicate of bug
290509

I set enabled=1 in /etc/default/apport , restarted the machine, logged
in and tried to add this panel app again. I received the same error, but
no crash report was created in /var/crash .

you also please try this with a fresh user account (or the guest
account).

it with tail -f )
When i tried it with another user account, i got a dialog box with this
