Public bug reported: Using ubuntu 8.04.1
The guys on #ubuntu IRC seemed to think this is a kernel bug. The problem occurs when trying to use a RealTek and Intel ethernet card together. lspci shows: 00:10.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82557/8/9/0/1 Ethernet Pro 100 (rev 05) 00:12.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10) The Realtek card seems to work just fine. However, the driver for the intel card is not loaded. When modprobe eepro100 is used, dmesg displays the following: [ 5733.177406] eepro100.c:v1.09j-t 9/29/99 Donald Becker [ 5733.177415] eepro100.c: $Revision: 1.36 $ 2000/11/17 Modified by Andrey V.
