Public bug reported: Binary package hint: thunderbird
Right-clicking on the column names in the address book includes a "Delete" option in the menu. Unfortunately, this does not "delete" the highlighted column, but rather, the highlighted contact. Ouch. Making matters worse, there is no undo. Probably the simple fix would be to have right-click on the column headings in the address book display a different menu, or no menu at all. vnix$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 8.10 Release: 8.10 vnix$ apt-cache policy thunderbird thunderbird: Installed: 2.0.0.18+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.10.1 Candidate: 2.0.0.18+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.10.1 Version table: *** 2.0.0.18+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.10.1 0 500 http://fi.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid-updates/main Packages 500 http://security.ubuntu.com intrepid-security/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2.0.0.17+nobinonly-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://fi.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages ** Affects: thunderbird (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- No undo for deleting a contact from address book https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/306438 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
