I can reproduce at will in gutsy, reopening.
I use the radeon driver, my card is a Radeon Mobility 7500, with only 32MB RAM.
I suspect this has something to do with it, as in the standard resolution of my
laptop (1400x1050) I see this kind of corruption. Maybe the textures are too
big to fit
If I reduce the depth from 24 to 16 bpp, I'm able to use compiz with
1400x1050. This confirms my memory limit hypothesis I think.

Thank you for your bug report. As generic compiz as now been uploaded to
Feisty (compiz-quinn is now known as beryl), we need to see if your bug
is still present. If you can test the version of compiz in feisty
(1:0.3.3-0ubuntu2~git2006112 or later) and tell us if you bug still
exists, please do.
Is anyone still using compiz who can confirm this is still a problem?
