by the way, the choices window for turning compiz on or off in gnome is barely visable at the bottom on a lenovo s10. this is with the bottom toolbar in fixed place mode. i suppose i need to try one of the netbook variations, but i kind of like regular gnome ubuntu. up-to-date Xorg runs into backtrace and leaves a blank screen. Machine is an HP 2710p In Xorg.0.log there is a Backtrace right before Saw signal 11.
