Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince
Evince cannot open comic files that end in zip or rar. However, it can open files that end in cbz/cbr, and if a zip file full of images in renamed so that it ends in cbz for instance, evince will open it correctly. It should be possible for evince to test whether an archive file has only images, and display it properly, instead of showing an 'Unable to open document' error. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch) Release: 9.04 $ apt-cache policy evince evince: Installed: 2.25.91-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 2.25.91-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 2.25.91-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://nl.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: evince (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Evince unable to open zip/rar comic files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/335320 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
