I have kernel 2.6.31, but the problem is still there. After unplugging the power cable of my T61p and closing the laptop. When I reopen it the current data transfer is interupted and the network does not response anymore. I would recommend upgrading your kernel. There compat-wireless 2.6 can't be built. I somehow got latest microcode from Intel website (v 228.57.2.23). But i still get the occasional Microcode SW error detected. I have installed the latest backported modules for 9.04. I also have similar issue with Jaunty on my T61p. This not only happens with an n access point but also with g connections. However, Microcode SW error appears a way more often in n mode. I just figured out that the Ubuntu kernel doesn't have iwlwifi debugging turned on by default, so I built a custom kernel and enabled it.
