I got the same error HwDetect Failed Code 141 on x86 daily build 20090323.
I am using intel G35 motherboard, P5E-V.
This problem is reproducible.
And I am trying to get the log.

Hmm. Is this reproducible? It looks as though X crashed.
I think we'll need /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old from after the crash in order
to see what happened and whose fault it is.

Hi Colin, I downloaded the current daily ISO 20/3/9 and re-tested this.
I did not encounter the 141 code and the system has installed as
expected. I assume the various changes to the build since I last tested
it has resolved the problem. Marking as fix release.

installed ok.
