Another data point to add - my e280 with Rockbox 3.2 doesn't connect, but with the same cable on the same machine my son's Fuze 4 GB does. Both are set to msc mode. The computer is a 64 bit, just updated to Jaunty. Both players connect fine to my laptop running Hardy. Not sure if this is helpful
