Heads up that we won't do this for jaunty as it requires CD changes and doc team coordination. Also its only a one time notification so its _not_ something the user regularly sees - making this glitch less severe. -- 3G networks detected notification bubble displays wrong icon

notification-gsm-3g-full.svg is the icon that should be used and is already installed in the human theme. Whatever icon was being used before should be used for the non-human icon theme case -- 3G networks detected notification bubble displays wrong icon https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/362836

what is used is nm-device-wwan ... which is the tower symbol. Problem is that we cannot replace that without changing the other uses of that icon (tray + connection editor). ** Changed in: network-manager-applet (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: network-manager-applet

changing the icon in the human theme (option 1) would affect the UI in three places: 1. panel/tray icon used when connected to 3g (currently its the tower) 2. icon used for the mobile broadband tab in the nm-connection-editor 3. icon used in the notification this bug is about -- 3G networks
